NAMIKO STUDIO CAFE
Los Angeles, CA
Drury Architects partnered with Namiko Studio Cafe to transform an underutilized lot on Beverly Boulevard into a refined outdoor dining destination. The project reimagines the existing site as an immersive al fresco patio that blends contemporary hospitality design with a calm, garden-like atmosphere. A sculpted central terrace anchors the space, offering layered seating zones, integrated landscape elements, and fluid circulation paths that invite guests to move naturally between social gathering areas and quieter, intimate corners.
Material warmth and restrained elegance define the architectural character. Natural stone paving, soft curved concrete planters, timber accents, and custom furnishings create a tactile environment that feels both modern and grounded. Strategic planting introduces shade, texture, and seasonal color, while open sightlines preserve a strong visual connection to the cafe interior. Carefully integrated accessibility and egress solutions ensure the patio remains welcoming and inclusive for all patrons.
The result is a thoughtfully composed outdoor room — a hospitality setting that elevates everyday dining into a spatial experience. This project reflects Drury Architects’ commitment to crafting environments where architecture, landscape, and social interaction come together seamlessly, reinforcing Namiko Studio Cafe’s identity as a destination rooted in community, design, and atmosphere.
